Stuart Whiter (Captain)

Stuart is Associate Portfolio Director and has been with the company since 2018. He is a specialist in the London Legal market, with over 8 years’ experience, having trained at a global recruitment company in Central London. Stuart recruits for a wide range of law firms, from boutique practices to international.

Glen Bayliss

Glen specialises in residential property and private client and has established a loyal and expanding client base, of both UK based and offshore clients. He has experience in all aspects of residential property, including lease extensions, investment buy-to-let and the buying and selling of all types of property and advise on the full cycle of a property transaction to ensure clients receive an outstanding service. Glen is married with two children and retain a keen interest in the beloved Arsenal FC, Southend United FC and Essex Cricket Club.  Having played football at semi-professional level (many years ago) he still play twice a week and captain my local cricket club in the summer months.

Matthew Grindley

Matt joined Birketts in March 2011 and is a Senior Associate in the Commercial Property Team. Matt advises both corporate and individual clients on a wide range of commercial property matters. He has extensive experience of acting for clients in the motor, logistics, retail and leisure sectors. In addition, Matt is a member of the firm’s specialist Real Estate Finance Team, acting for major UK lenders and high net worth individuals.
In his spare time, Matt is a keen sportsman. An avid supporter of West Ham United, he can often be found surfing the waves off the Cornish coast. He is currently working on bringing down his golf handicap. 

Devon Malcolm

Devon Malcolm is a Jamaican-born English former cricketer. Malcolm was one of England's very few genuinely fast bowlers of the 1990s. Malcolm was one of the fastest bowlers in world cricket, with his career best performance of nine wickets for 57 runs against South Africa being one of the best innings performances in Test history.

As the cricket writer, Colin Bateman, noted, "Malcolm, incredibly wholehearted with an easy charm off the field, became a national hero."

Malcolm runs a company that sells cricket equipment to schools and clubs around the world.DEM Sports

Lee Hibell

Lee qualified as a Solicitor in 2006 and joined Paul Robinson Solicitors LLP in 2015. Lee is a full member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and an associate member of the Solicitors for the Elderly.

Lee graduated with an Honours Degree in Physics (BSc) from Kingston University.

Lee specialises in Estate and Trust Administration, Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters. Lee works closely with genealogists in tracing and assisting heirs where there is no Will and is able to provide Inheritance Tax planning with the assistance of a trusted group of financial planners.

Subir Desai

After several years working on high end residential and commercial real estate transactions, Subir has since developed a material and highly regarded expertise in property litigation and commercial litigation, often working with a number of high-net worth individuals and running a number of high profile cases in the High Court. Although he now heads the litigation team he continues to work very closely with our property solicitors adding his experience and business-oriented mindset to real estate transactions. Outside of his professional commitments, Subir indulges in his passion for tennis and cricket.

Adam Fleming

Adam is a Director of BTMK and a qualified Solicitor.  Adam jointly heads up BTMK’s Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team who were recognised in The Times Best Law Firms 2024.  Adam joined Hadleigh & Thundersley Cricket Club aged 11 and represented the club right up to becoming Club & First Team Captain in 2004, a position he held until 2013.   Adam still plays Evening League and Indoor Cricket for Alleyn Court Aces and Mount CC respectively, and coaches the HTCC U11s.  These days he focuses most of his energy on the golf course.
